Question:
I have just upgraded my computer with a new Biostar motherboard. Now every time Windows tries to start, a blue screen with indecipherable error messages appears. |
Answer:
When you install a new motherboard, generally you must also reinstall Windows from scratch. Chances are the old motherboard you had did not have the same chipset as your new board. This will cause Windows 2000 or XP to crash to the blue error screen. You must either do a clean install (reformatting your hard drive) or try a repair install (where Windows 2000/XP reinstalls itself but leaves the rest of your hard drive contents alone).
