Biostar's CPU Savior™ technology for AMD-based motherboards is a hardware-controlled functionality which works in conjuction with the new AMD Athlon™ XP processors to protect CPU from overheating.

A built-in IC is designated to monitor the current CPU temperature. If the temperature is over the preset safety level, the IC will alert the PWM IC to turn off the computer immediately. Whether it was a wrong installation or a breakdown of the CPU fan, CPU Savior™ will prevent physical damages to the parts.
